#54 Supermileage was a major redesign of our vehicle from 2002-03. The original vehicle was stripped to the frame and all existing systems removed. We then purchased a completely new style of engine and rear tire assembly. The rollbar was also redesigned to increase it’s height. We then modified our new fiberglass bodyshell to fit this chassis.

The vehicle was tweaked for the 2005-06 competition year with the addition of an electric air intake system. We also had the bodyshell repainted to fix some defects in the fiberglass.

A rule in supermileage is that a team can only reenter a vehicle for three years. Our team decided to donate the chassis to a first year team after #54’s last race, rather than destroying it. The bodyshell and chassis were donated to the Seymour supermileage team. Good Luck Seymour! Hope to see you during the 2006-07 competition year!
