#53 Supermileage was first designed for the 2004-05 competition year. This is the year we finalized our body plug and was able to get a fiberglass mold made from it. This is also the year we switched to mild steel tubing for our frames. We did this to make it easier for students to learn how to weld. It also reduced our construction time. The vehicle was also designed with a rear suspension for driver comfort.

The vehicle was tweaked for the 2005-06 competition year with the addition of an electric air intake system.

This car retired after the 2006-07 competition year after placing in at least 3rd for all three years of its running.
